Buddy arrived in March 2009 with 3 other horses. He was a bull-headed quarter horse that liked to shove me into trees when I led him. I got him safe to lead and ride, but no one ever really liked to ride him until a dedicated volunteer took him on as a project. Every week he rode Buddy and through negotiating, comprimising, but being insistant when needed, he succeeded in getting Buddy to like people and want to work with them. Now Buddy is a major part of our riding lessons and really enjoys them (as long as he gets to punch out on time).
